Surviving Escort Quests on World of Warcraft

When you are looking to level your character on World of Warcraft, one way that you might choose to do so is through questing. If dungeon runs are not for you, and if simply grinding mobs is something that sounds like it will get irritating after a while, you will discover that questing is a good way to level and to see more of what the game has to offer. After a while, you will see that there are several different types of quests. There are quests where you are going to kill a certain amount of a specific mob, and there are quests where you gather things or look for some sort of device or object in the middle of enemy territory.
Then there are escort quests. Escort quests usually involve you finding a friendly non-player character deep in dangerous territory. They will request that you take them to a certain location, and on the way, you need to defend them from the different mobs that they are going to attract or trigger. Escort quests usually have fairly good rewards, but how can you take them on successfully?
